Advantages of CUS

  • Automatic on-site checks on diameter, material, slope, direction, profile during survey. This reduces mistakes and postprocessing works compared to manual inspection methods.
  • Automatic on-site checks of sewage network topology.
  • Automatic generation of a precise as built drawing for the complete sewer network, as a result of the CUS 3D-survey.
  • Data recording for large manholes, special structures or polygonal and oval manholes is analog to standard manholes which guarantees a consistent integration into any CAD and GIS system.
  • TV inspection results - e.g. german ATV-DVWK tokens PA and PE - can be allocated with their accurate layout positions.
  • TV inspection results can be compared with real sewer pipe lengths. Sewer pipe requirements can be checked accurately, e.g. +- 25 cm accuracy according to German ATV-DVWK for inspection events like connection or branch pieces.
  • CUS survey is independent from flow and weather conditions. Surveying during full manhole activity is possible. Deposits or sediments on pipe inverts do not falsify results.
  • Many worksite safety requirements are not required. With CUS surveying and inspection system the inspection personnel does not need to step into manholes. No risk for inspection personnel.
  • CUS guarantees highest constant quality for the results.
  • CUS affords simple export of all digital inspection data to any common sewage database system without post-processing works.
  • Digital Pictures (JPEG, GIF, TIFF) and Video Documentation (MPEG1, MPEG4, DivX) of the manhole's condition are an indispensable help for establishment of maintenance or rehabilitation programs.
